Eli's Cartoon Caption Contest No. 43

Contest No. 43 starts right now.

Briefly, here are the details: I'll supply a drawing of one of my old cartoons that has never been published, leaving off my caption. You are invited to supply your funniest captions. Simply (1) click on "Add New Comment". Then (2) scroll down past any other submitted captions and type in your name and your caption in the spaces provided.  Then (3) click "Save". There is no limit on the number of captions you can submit for each drawing.

Entries will be accepted and posted for one week, after which a winner will be announced and the winning caption will be printed. Below that I will also print my original caption. The cut-off time and date for you to submit your captions for this contest is midnight Tuesday, October 30, 2012.

I will be the sole judge. The winning caption will be the one I judge to be the funniest one submitted (not necessarily the one that matches or comes closest to my original caption). Additional rules and regulations, for those of you who need such things, can be found here.

This is the drawing that needs your caption:

I think you may have mistaken the meaning of "pi" day.

It's supposed to be "let them eat cake", not "let me eat cake".

Sweetheart, I think we might be taking these crowns we got from Burger King too seriously.

For the last time, no, we can't go out to dinner tonight.

Is the rest of the chess set coming so we can start the game?

" Your throne is making noises... I think it's trying to tell you to go on a diet !"

"I think you're taking this 'Eat, drink and be merry' thing too far."

2. "That's the 9th litter bearer you've given a hernia.

3. "I wish the Crusaders had never discovered sugar cane."

4. "You've taken the job of 'king's food-taster' to another level."

5. "I'm sorry that I ever said,'My kingdom for a fat horse.'"

“I’M GLAD WE’RE NOT FLYING COACH.”

You've been chopped.

I think the cook has to go.

1."While I'm out there trying to defeat Napoleon, your eating too many Napoleons."

2. "When I promised you half of my kingdom, I didn't expect you to eat it!"

3. "Do me a favor...just turn me back into a frog."

4."I think it's time for you to cut back on your knight snacks."

5."Believe me, you're no damsel in dis dress."

I think we're taking this Jack Sprat costume idea a little too far...

"I lost my Oedipus complex years ago, when you reached 300 pounds.

Queen Helene, you ain't so lean but your shampoo sure keeps me clean!

"You promised, no more licking the platter clean."
